Research Fellow Pengfei Hu

Hu Pengfei is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Research Institute of Aero-Engine, Beihang University. He was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Young Scientist Program (Category B, formerly the Excellent Young Scientists Fund) in 2025 and is a recipient of Beihang University's "Outstanding Young Talent" award. He received his Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from Beihang University in 2012 and his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Beihang University in 2018, under the supervision of Professor Guo Lin. From 2018 to 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Chemistry, Beihang University, and was selected for the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents.

His research primarily focuses on the precise synthesis, structural characterization, and property investigation of functional micro-nano materials. He has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers as the first author (including co-first) or corresponding author in journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Synthesis, Science Advances, Nature Communications (2 papers), Journal of the American Chemical Society (2 papers), Advanced Materials (5 papers), Chem (2 papers), Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and others, including five ESI Highly Cited Papers. His work has received over 1,500 citations. He has served as Principal Investigator for several research grants, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientist Programs (Category B and C), the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation Young Scientist Program, the Beihang University Outstanding Young Talent Support Program, and the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents.
